Thank you for your interest in Under Loch!

If you can't progress in the game, there's a good chance it is working as intended, and there's just something still missing from your playthrough.

However, to rule out technical issues:

Playing directly on the IFComp website (https://ifcomp.org/) should be the most stable and reliable option for all browsers.

For local play, Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge are recommended and should also be fairly stable.

If a local (downloaded) file is opened through Safari or Firefox, it will likely work at first, but the underlying mechanism may break down later on. Apologies for any inconvenience!

If you must play locally using one of these less-compatible browsers, there is a method which can potentially allow the game to work, but it requires spoiling part of the game's surprise. Read further down after the signature if this is what you want to do!

Please don't hesitate to contact us for assistance or any questions or comment, we'd be happy to help in whatever way we can!

The method requires transferring the Under_Loch.html file to a certain folder, the aforementioned "missing piece" (more details below if needed)...

You'll need to get a downloaded copy of Under_Loch.html, move it to the Enkii folder, and launch both games.

If this still doesn't work (even after a refresh or reopen), it might be one of the cases where our workarounds are being blocked in some way we can't control. Very sorry about this! Please feel free to contact us, we might be able to arrange something else if needed.
